Position Description:
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - Content to join our team at Auth0, The World's Identity Company. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Docs team to develop and implement a content strategy that enhances the structure and functionality of our documentation site. Your primary focus will be on ensuring an exceptional developer experience for our customers through clear, accessible, and well-organized content. As a Senior Product Manager at Auth0, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our product documentation, directly impacting how developers interact with and implement our identity solutions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy for Auth0's documentation site
- Collaborate with the Docs team to optimize content structure, navigation, and searchability
- Conduct user research to understand developer needs and pain points related to product documentation
- Create and maintain content roadmaps that align with product releases and customer needs
- Work closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure documentation accuracy and relevance
- Implement metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of documentation and drive continuous improvement
- Lead initiatives to enhance the overall developer experience through innovative content solutions
- Gather and prioritize feedback from customers, internal teams, and stakeholders to inform documentation improvements
- Ensure documentation meets Auth0's high standards for security, compliance, and brand consistency
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on developer-facing content or documentation
- Strong understanding of API documentation, developer tools, and technical writing principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Experience with content management systems and documentation tools
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Basic understanding of web technologies and programming concepts
- Ability to analyze data and derive insights to inform content strategy decisions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technical Writing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with identity and access management (IAM) solutions or related technologies
- Knowledge of Auth0 products and services
- Familiarity with markdown, HTML, and other documentation formats
- Experience with developer experience (DX) optimization
- Background in UX writing or information architecture
- Proficiency in using analytics tools to measure content performance
- Experience with localization and internationalization of technical content
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders
