Why did Hori's father never home? ›

Kyousuke Hori (堀 京介, Hori Kyōsuke^?) is the husband of Yuriko Hori and the wandering father of Kyouko Hori and Souta Hori who is often absent from home due to work.

In the webcomic ending, Miyamura and Hori get married (which now makes her Kyouko Miyamura), and she gives birth to a son named Kyouhei Miyamura.

The whole family is "Hori", after all, and he already made it clearly that Kyouko had first dibs on that name, so calling him by given name is normal.

As the story progresses, they realize they like each other, and Hori becomes Miyamura's girlfriend. In Chapter 37, on a rainy night, when they are alone in her room, she realizes how much she loves Miyamura, and they decide to sleep together that night.

Then Yuki was asked out by Akane Yanagi, she rejected him since she was in love with Toru.

As they become more comfortable with their relationship, the two become more intimate. When heavy rain keeps Miyamura from going home, Hori cuddles with him in bed and they have sex for the first time. Afterward, Hori had bitten him on the back of his neck, which Shindou believed was a mark of 'ownership'.

Although Hori can sometimes act out violently, it is said that she can be pretty aggressive when it comes down to cleaning ears, clipping nails, as well as giving massages. And because of this, both her friends and family fear her quite intensely, including Miyamura himself.

They officially became a couple after Kyouko's dad asked Kyouko whether Izumi is her boyfriend. He and Hori eventually marry and, in the webcomic, have a son named Kyouhei.

The Romance

Hori and Miyamura are the palpitating heart of Horimiya and Horimiya: The Missing Pieces, but attached to their intimate (and somewhat frantic) escapades is a smattering of hankerings. For example, Ishikawa, Sawada and Mizouchi all pined for Hori at some point in their lives, only to lose out to Miyamura.

History and meaning

The term Hori is recognised in academic and public discourses to be an ethnic and/or racial epithet directed towards the Māori people. The word Hori, when employed to refer to individuals of the Māori racial-ethnic identity or descent, has a pejorative and derogatory connotation.

Yanagi and Sakura also eventually forge a close friendship as they're able to bond over liking the same manga. As is typical with high school settings, rumors do start to spread about the pair dating, but their relationship remains platonic to the very end.

History. Kyouko was born to Kyousuke Hori and Yuriko Hori as their first child and only daughter. Early on in her childhood, she met and became friends with Kakeru Sengoku, whose father went to the same school as Kyouko's parents and was well acquainted with them.

Hori is a masoch*st (a person who derives gratification, sexual or otherwise, from the pain or humiliation of themselves) as she asks being shouted/hit at by Miyamura. Hori dislikes citrus flavored foods (such as grapefruit), but would still eat mikan (a type of citrus fruit).

She and Miyamura eventually marry and, in the webcomic, have a son named Kyouhei.
